The buzz for Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD wasn’t too great after the release of songs and trailers in Hindi. The optimistic projection for the opening day in Hindi was around 15 crores similar to Salaar which had more buzz than Kalki 2898 AD.
However, Kalki surprised everyone by taking the best opening of the year by beating Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter. It collected around 21 crores on its first day in Hindi which was remarkable and way above expectations.

Now, looking at Devara, expectations are balanced—neither too high nor too low. The film’s songs, trailers, and promotional efforts in Hindi have garnered decent awareness among audiences.
Ideally, Devara should target an opening of ₹8-10 crores in Hindi. However, even an opening in the ₹5-6 crores range, coupled with positive word of mouth, would be considered a solid start.

The recently released trailer has generated more excitement than the first, which should help boost opening-day collections.
Devara aims to chase the box office numbers of Hanu Man, a big hit this year that grossed ₹65 crores net in Hindi.

But like Kalki 2898 AD surprised everyone by surpassing expectations, there is hope that Devara might also do the same with positive word of mouth.
