NTR is currently in Japan promoting Devara. Over the past three days, he has been actively attending events and preview screenings.

Meanwhile, NTR’s next film with Prashanth Neel has been making headlines in India. Reports suggest that the movie’s working title is Dragon.

Prashanth Neel has already begun filming some high-octane action sequences at Ramoji Film City, even before NTR joined the shoot. A new schedule is expected to commence soon.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for an NTR-Prashanth Neel collaboration for nearly five years. Given Neel’s reputation after KGF and Salaar, expectations for Dragon are sky-high.

Despite not even starting full-fledged production, Neel had officially announced that the film would release on January 9, 2026, as a Sankranthi treat. However, fresh reports indicate that Dragon might miss the Sankranthi release window.

Considering NTR’s stature and the film’s scale, it would take at least a year of intensive production. Many are questioning how Neel confidently announced a January 2026 release when major portions are yet to be shot.

Some believe this is merely a publicity stunt. Prashanth Neel has a history of postponements—both KGF 2 and Salaar faced multiple delays. Additionally, he hasn’t provided any update on Salaar 2, leaving Prabhas fans frustrated.

While NTR’s fans were hopeful, many doubted the film could realistically meet its deadline. Some speculate that Dragon might be stepping away from the Sankranthi race due to competition from Vijay’s Jana Nayagan.

With extensive action sequences, songs, and crucial talkie portions yet to be filmed, a January release seems improbable.

Many believe Neel simply announces release dates as a marketing strategy. Even he may not know the actual timeline for Dragon’s completion.
