April has turned into a nightmare. Films like Jack and Good Bad Ugly have failed to attract audiences. Ajith’s film is performing better in Tamil, but the Telugu version is struggling.
Moreover, Anchor Pradeep’s film, Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi, didn’t impress either, with no positive buzz around it.

The intense summer heat is adding to the issue. Many, especially students and workers, are finding it hard to go out, and business owners are dealing with low sales.
On top of that, IPL cricket matches are dominating conversations, with social media flooded with results, trolling, and predictions, keeping people distracted.

As a result, fewer people are heading to theaters, leaving cinemas with empty seats. Exhibitors are anxiously waiting for a big hit to change the situation.
The delay of major pan-India films like Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Ghati, and Kannappa in March and April has had a major impact.
Now, all eyes are on Odela 2 and Arjun Son of Vyjayanthi. Both films are trying to create positive pre-release vibes with aggressive promotions.
If the word of mouth is favorable, they could bring in some revenue. However, it remains to be seen whether they can pull the IPL-occupied audience to theaters in this scorching heat and deliver some relief to the box office which is right now bleeding.
