Telugu actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan is back in Hyderabad with his son, Mark Shankar. Eight-year-old Mark suffered injuries to his hands and legs in a fire that took place at his school in Singapore. He also developed breathing complications as he had inhaled smoke.

Days after Mark’s hospitalisation in Singapore, Pawan and his son were spotted at Hyderabad airport on Sunday. The actor-politician was seen carrying Mark, accompanied by his wife, Anna Lezhneva, and daughter, Polena Anjana Pawanova.

The actor posted, “Following the unfortunate fire incident at my son Mark Shankar’s summer camp in Singapore, I have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of prayers, concern, and support from all-over the world. I wholeheartedly thank leaders from various political parties, @JanaSenaParty leaders, JanaSainiks, well-wishers, members of the film fraternity, friends, and supporters from across the globe for standing by our family during this difficult time. Mark Shankar is now stable and recovering well. Your heartfelt messages have truly given us strength.”

Two days after the incident, Megastar Chiranjeevi shared photos with his brother, Pawan Kalyan, and announced that Mark Shankar had been discharged.

Before leaving for Singapore to be with his son, Pawan Kalyan had opened up about Mark’s health, telling reporters, “The incident occurred during a summer camp in Singapore, where a fire broke out, injuring several children. One child died (in the incident). My son has burns on his hands and thighs. He has to undergo a bronchoscopy. The smoke inhalation will likely have long-term effects.”

On the work front, Pawan Kalyan is gearing up for the theatrical release of Hari Hara Veera Mallu on May 9.
