Weddings have several unspoken rules for guests, like don’t wear bridal white to match the bride and don’t cut the wedding cake. Perhaps another rule should be added to the list: don’t wear a bikini to your daughter’s special day.
Paulina, the 57-year-old mother of Taiwanese actress Jin Cheng, broke the dress code–and earned some backlash from netizens–by showing up in a bikini. The bikini was overlaid with a sheer dress that did little to cover up Paulina’s gorgeous figure, but it did stop her from drawing attention to herself in another way.
The mother of this bride originally planned to wear a white dress instead, but her daughter convinced her not to. Little did Jin Cheng or her wife, German actress and video creator Aky Niwa, know that Pauline would show up like a Vogue model at a beach photoshoot.
The couple tied the knot back in April, with Paulina’s full support.
