In response to the Supreme Court’s comments on the Tirumala Laddu ghee adulteration controversy, the TDP has issued specific instructions to its leaders and cadre. The party has emphasized a cautious approach, advising its members to avoid direct criticism of the court’s remarks.
TDP leaders are instructed not to engage in discussions regarding the composition of the judicial bench or question the credibility of the judges. The party’s official stance is that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu acted only after credible evidence of ghee adulteration was confirmed by a reputable laboratory.

This fact, the party leadership suggests, should be highlighted in media interactions and TV debates.
The controversy began when eight tankers of ghee were delivered to the Tirumala temple. Out of these, four tankers were used, but due to suspicions about the quality of the ghee, samples were taken from the remaining four tankers and sent to the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) lab for testing.
The lab confirmed that the ghee was adulterated, leading to the return of the four tankers. TDP’s strategy is to focus on the facts, particularly emphasizing that Chandrababu Naidu responded responsibly to the findings from the prestigious lab and took necessary steps to ensure the sanctity of the temple offerings.
