Following recent health inspections, five Indian restaurants situated in Plano, Texas have received extremely poor to poor ratings.

These establishments were observed to be in breach of fundamental cleanliness prerequisites necessary.

Inspectors encountered unclean and nauseating conditions within these dining venues, with one restaurant’s kitchen even being infested with rodent droppings.

Delving into the specifics, the inspection at MK Gandhi’s Malgudi Garden, situated at 5024 Tennyson Parkway, revealed the presence of rodent droppings in the eastern kitchen.

During the inspection on August 3, it was noted that pest control personnel were diligently checking traps daily, and entry points had been identified and sealed.

Plano city employs a 100-point rating system for restaurants, where a perfect score is 100, and anything below 70 is considered exceedingly poor.

Meanwhile, Bawarchi Biryanis Indian Cuisine Express, located at 8201 Ohio Drive, Suite 105, received a dismal score of 63 on August 21. This low rating was attributed to improper food storage practices and the presence of trash and debris near the dumpster area.

At Bawarchi Indian Cuisine, situated at 8201 Ohio Drive, Suite 110, the inspection conducted on August 21 yielded a score of 66. During the assessment, fruit flies and gnats were observed at the bar, and dirty barware and dishes from the previous night remained unwashed.

On August 14, Hello India, situated at 8740 Ohio Drive, was inspected, resulting in a score of 71. The assessment identified issues related to food not being stored at appropriate temperatures, and most of the staff lacked food handler certificates.

Lastly, Saravanaa Bhavan, located at 8908 Ohio Drive, received a score of 74 during the inspection conducted on August 22. Among the infractions noted, a water bottle stored within the ice machine was observed, and concerns were raised about the inadequate sanitization of dishes after use.

A lot of people are saying that this problem happens because restaurant owners don’t really love the business; they’re only in it for the money.
