Sunfox Technologies has raised $7 Mn in a Series A round led by Ashish Kacholia, Lashit Sanghvi, Alchemy Capital, and 3one4 Capital
Sunfox’s portable ECG devices and remote doctor reviews aim to bring cardiac assessment to homes and smaller health centres with limited access to specialists
The startup claims to have deployed around 60,000 Spandan devices across India, reaching more than 20,000 villages, while its Spandan One platform supports screening of around 5 Mn patients annually
Dehradun-based medtech startup Sunfox Technologies has raised $7 Mn (around ₹67 Cr) in a Series A funding round led by Ashish Kacholia, Lashit Sanghvi, Alchemy Capital, and 3one4 Capital.
The startup will use the fresh capital to expand its portable cardiac diagnostics platform Spandan across India, grow its team, and invest in R&D, clinical evidence, engineering, and new cardiac technologies.
It will also build regulatory, distribution, and commercial capabilities across the US, Europe, and Africa, the startup said in a statement.
Sunfox said it has regulatory approvals in India, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, and South Africa, and is pursuing clearances in the US and the European Union.
The fundraise follows a ₹15 Cr (around $1.8 Mn) round led by Venture Catalysts in 2024.
Founded in 2016 by Rajat Jain, Arpit Jain, Sabit Rawat, Nitin Chandola, and Saurabh Badola, Sunfox develops portable and AI-enabled cardiac diagnostic solutions for hospitals, clinics, telemedicine networks, public health programmes, and home-based monitoring.
Its Spandan devices allow users and healthcare workers to record ECGs using a smartphone and share them with doctors for remote interpretation. According to the startup, the platform can flag cardiac patterns requiring urgent attention, helping healthcare teams identify patients who need further assessment or treatment.
Its digital service platform, Spandan One, supports remote ECG reviews, case coordination, and tele-ECG network management. In public health settings, nurses or health workers can record ECGs at primary and community health centres and send them to doctors or cardiologists at district hubs for review.
Sunfox claims around 60,000 Spandan devices have been deployed across India, reaching more than 20,000 villages. Its Spandan One platform is used to screen around 5 Mn patients annually, it added.
The startup, which secured investment from all five participating investors on the first season of Shark Tank India, also claims a presence in more than 15 countries.
Sunfox competes in the portable ECG segment with the likes of Agatsa, which offers SanketLife devices, and Cardiotrack, which provides handheld ECG devices and remote interpretation solutions.
