Brazilian digital bank C6 Bank acquired corporate benefits startup Alymente. The companies did not disclose the deal value, and the acquisition is subject to approval from Brazil’s Central Bank.
Founded in 2017 by former Stone executives, Alymente offers a corporate benefits card that combines food, transportation, telemedicine, mental health support, and gym benefits.
The acquisition gives C6 Bank access to Brazil’s $28B corporate benefits market. Alymente will become C6 Benefícios, and cofounder André Purri will continue to lead the business.
Alymente serves more than 1,200 companies, including Heineken, Nissan, and Pernod Ricard, and more than 100,000 beneficiaries. C6 Bank, founded in 2019, has about 42 million customers.
More than 70% of Alymente’s clients have requested financial services, giving C6 Bank an opportunity to offer banking products to Alymente’s corporate customers.
