Argentine fintech Autonomy raised an $8M Series A led by Magna Capital, Comafi, Natan VC and Murchison Ventures.
Founded in 2022 by José Trusso and Leandro Cuccioli, Autonomy offers a rent to own model for mobility app drivers who have limited access to traditional auto loans. Autonomy bundles the vehicle, insurance, maintenance, and permits into a single monthly payment and evaluates applicants based on their activity on mobility platforms.
With the funds Autonomy will expand its fleet, improve its technology, and enter new markets in Argentina and the Southern Cone.
Autonomy launched operations in 2023 with 10 vehicles and has since grown its fleet to more than 1,500 cars. It receives about 3,000 applications per month but can serve only half of that demand. Autonomy plans to grow its fleet to 10,000 vehicles by December 2027.
