MLA Allamprabhu Patil laid the foundation stone for a ₹1.45 crore road project at Akkamahadevi Colony in Ward 52 of Kalaburagi South Assembly constituency on August 9.

Mr. Patil said a ₹4.90 crore package sanctioned by the Kalyana Karnataka Region Development Board (KKRDB) was being utilised for various infrastructure and development work across the city.

The funds had been allocated for development work in Nizamapur, Kamala Nagar, Akkamahadevi Colony, Oza Layout, Kuruba Nagar, Savitribai Phule Layout, Venkatesh Nagar, Giri Layout and Sharan Nagar, among other areas, he said.

The road project in Akkamahadevi Colony was being taken up under the same KKRDB package, Mr. Patil said. He emphasised that public co-operation was essential for the successful implementation of development projects.
