Shadowfax has recorded a 8X jump in its consolidated net profit for Q1 FY27 to ₹65.4 Cr from ₹8 Cr PAT in Q1 FY26

Meanwhile, total expenditure jumped 60% YoY to ₹1,313.8 Cr in the quarter under review.

Logistics major ShadowFaxShadowFax Datalabs_in-article-icon has recorded a 8X jump in its consolidated net profit for Q1 FY27 to reach an all-time high of ₹65.4 Cr from ₹8 Cr PAT in Q1 FY26. Sequentially, the PAT increased 17% from ₹55.8 Cr.

Operating revenue jumped 65% YoY and 10% QoQ to ₹1,358.1 Cr in the June quarter. Including other income of ₹21.1 Cr, Shadowfax’s total income for the quarter stood at ₹1,379.2 Cr. 

Meanwhile, total expenditure jumped 60% YoY to ₹1,313.8 Cr in the quarter under review.

Shadowfax’s EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹92 Cr with a margin of 6.8%, surging over 3X  from an EBITDA of ₹25 Cr with a margin of 3.1% in the previous year quarter. 

Alongside disclosing its financials, Shadowfax also announced that its chief product officer (CPO) Nitesh Lohiya has resigned citing personal reasons. Lohiya, who joined the logistics major after a near eight year stint at Flipkart in 2021, will continue to work with the company till August 7. 

On the operational front, Shadowfax claims to have delivered 24.7 Cr customer orders across its express and hyperlocal services collectively during the quarter under review. 

The express segment generated a revenue of ₹997 Cr in the quarter under review, up  87.3%  from a revenue of ₹532 Cr in the previous quarter. The segment accounted for 73.4% of the total operating revenue.

As per the company, the express segment growth was driven by rising market share in D2C brands as well as demand for faster deliveries and value categories.

Meanwhile, the hyperlocal segment, which is its quick commerce arm, recorded a 53% YoY jump in its revenue to ₹272 Cr. The growth came at the behest of newer entrants in quick commerce as well as the quick food delivery segment.

Shadowfax also disclosed a capex investment of ₹60 Cr during the quarter under review, expanding the last mile network and adding sort-centre automation and capacity. Additionally, it reached a total of 16,372 pin codes, with addition of 716 new pin codes in the June quarter.

Going forward, Shadowfax is looking to double down on the ongoing quick commerce wave. In the June quarter, it more than tripled its dark store count to 47 dark stores from 15 in Q4 FY26. Besides, it is bullish on high speed intracity same day and intercity next day delivery service Prime and Shadowfax 360.

Shares of Shadowfax ended today’s trading session 10.47% higher at ₹243.30.
