Andhra Pradesh is accelerating feeder-level solarisation works under the Centre’s PM-KUSUM Component-C scheme, with 228 solar plants of 1,162.80 MW capacity under way across the State.
Reviewing the progress at the Secretariat on Wednesday (May 20, 2026), Special Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister and Energy Department K. Vijayanand directed officials to complete all projects by December to avoid losing Central Financial Assistance (CFA).
The review covered projects under APSPDCL, APEPDCL, APCPDCL and Kuppam RESCO jurisdictions, focusing on land acquisition, civil works, material procurement and project execution.
Officials said major progress had been achieved in land acquisition across several districts, while grading, piling and foundation works were progressing rapidly.
Mr. Vijayanand called for weekly monitoring, faster approvals and stronger coordination between DISCOMs and developers to ensure timely completion and strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s green energy and agricultural power infrastructure.
