Three YouTube channels, including Kannada news portal Eedina.com, has been blocked following an interim High Court order in a petition filed by office-bearers of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project and family members of D. Veerendra Heggade, objecting to the reporting by these channels on certain developments in Dharmasthala.

The interim order was issued on May 27, 2025, during the summer vacation of the court, with directions to issue emergent notices to the respondents.

However, the YouTube channels were blocked on July 10. H.V. Vasu of Eedina.com told The Hindu that they did not receive any notice before the channel was blocked. “We got a notice on July 11, a day after YouTube blocked our channel. We will fight to preserve our right to free speech legally and approach the High Court on Monday,” he said.

Sanchari Studio Plus and Kudla Rampage Plus are the other two channels that were blocked.
