WhatsApp, which is adding a slew of new features for its massive user base all across the globe is now reportedly making some changes to the top bar of the home screen. In the latest update, the Meta-owned instant messaging platform will be making the top bar darker along with the white top app bar interface.

According to the report by WaBetaInfo, a WhatsApp feature reporting website, the platform as a part of its latest beta version dubbed Android 2.23.13.16 has introduced the feature, and select beta testers are already seeing the feature. With this move, the company aims to style the interface of Material Design 3, which is also introducing a sense of modernity into the theme, which is by far not changed.

Further, the report suggests that the feature is still under development and is available with the latest beta update. The news-reported feature will also bring along a refreshed user interface which may impress the user as the platform has not made any major changes to it in the past few years.

For more sophisticated mobile phones with an AMOLED screen, a darker theme based on grayscale and the colour black could provide better performance and be more aesthetically pleasing.

Meanwhile, the messaging platform is reportedly developing a new white action bar for Android beta, according to a report published last week. By switching to a white colour scheme, the white action bar is anticipated to achieve closer harmony with Material Design 3 concepts. The choice to alter the action bar's colour was probably motivated by customer feedback, demonstrating the company's commitment to catering to their needs.
