YSRCP’s Kadapa Fort Crumbling: Where Is Avinash Reddy?

Kadapa District is a fort of the YSR Congress. The Reddy Community is a dominant force in the Politics here. It was a bastion of Congress during the YSR’s rule and later it was passed on to the YSR Congress after his demise.

But then, it looks like the Kadapa fort is crumbling.

In the recent Assembly elections, the YSR Congress is left only with three seats out of the total ten seats. Even Jagan’s majority was reduced in this election.

One of the three seats is Jagan’s seat, and another seat is due to BJP fielding a weak candidate.

In the recent Water Society Elections in Pulivendula, TDP managed to register a clean sweep.

The party even won in Balapanuru, the native village of the Late YSR.

And today, eight YSR Congress corporators are shifting to TDP. After denying a chair for the TDP MLA Madhavi Reddy in the Municipal Council meeting, the Ruling Party took the issue seriously.

Amid this chaos, it is evident that there is no one to steer the party in the district.

Previously during YSR’s regime, YS Vivekananda Reddy used to take care of everything. Later, Jagan brought in Avinash Reddy in his place.

In the last five years, Avinash Reddy could barely manage the district with his availability being a major problem. But then, since the party is in power, there were no problems.

Now, his strength is not being enough to protect the party.

At the same time, Jagan could not find time for the district.

Jagan Mohan Reddy put Avinash Reddy on his head calling him ‘Thammudu, Thammudu’.

He also sacrificed his own sister, Sharmila for this Thammudu.

But the Thammudu is barely of any use to the party in its strongest district.

Fortunately for Avinash Reddy, if not for Sharmila cutting 10% Votes, he would have lost to the TDP candidate in the Kadapa Parliament.
