The TDP government is intensifying its efforts to take legal action against YSRCP leaders in the Krishna District, particularly those who were involved in controversial incidents during their tenure. The crackdown is seen as a move to hold these leaders accountable for their past actions, especially where they are alleged to have acted with impunity due to their political power.

Notably, former Minister Jogi Ramesh and his family are under significant scrutiny. His son, Rajeev, has already been arrested in connection with the Agrigold land grab case. Jogi Ramesh himself is being investigated for his alleged involvement in an attempted attack on Chandrababu Naidu’s residence. Reports suggest that Jogi Ramesh has been uncooperative with the ongoing investigation, raising the possibility of his arrest.

Additionally, Devineni Avinash, another key YSRCP leader, has been served a notice by the police in relation to the attack on the TDP state office. The authorities are also preparing to question him and his followers regarding their alleged involvement in an assault on TDP leader Pattabhi’s residence. Several of Avinash’s followers have already been arrested in connection with an attack on TDP city leader Chennupati Gandhi.

Former MLA Kodali Nani is also under investigation for organizing a large-scale casino event during Sankranthi in January 2022 and for allegedly orchestrating a subsequent attack on a TDP fact-finding team that was looking into the event. The police are reportedly turning the case around and considering filing charges of attempted murder against those involved in the attack.

Furthermore, former Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi is facing legal challenges related to an attack on the TDP office in Gannavaram. Vamsi, along with his key followers, has been named in an FIR, prompting him to seek anticipatory bail from the High Court. The police believe that Vamsi played a central role in the attack and are closely monitoring the situation.

These developments indicate that the TDP government is tightening its grip on YSRCP leaders who are perceived to have committed illegal activities during their time in power, with several high-profile figures now facing legal consequences.
