Here’s the hot topic in U.S. distribution circles: York Cinemas (Canada), which screens South Indian films, issued a cease-and-desist notice to Pushpa 2’s U.S. distributors Prathyangira Cinemas and AA Creations.
The email accuses Prathyangira of falsely advertising that York Cinemas would screen Pushpa 2, alleging this has posed risks to their staff and patrons.

York Cinema Group has demanded that Pushpa 2’s U.S. distributor stop advertising that the film will be screened at their cinemas, warning that failure to comply could result in criminal charges and/or litigation for damages.
They also demanded that Village Groupe and Prathyangira Cinemas settle their outstanding payment for the Kalki 2898 AD movie Europe investment, specifying that the amount must be paid in full, though they did not mention the exact sum.
