Peddireddy who was Number 2 in YSRCP has several allegations regarding land grabbing. From forest land to land in cities, Peddireddy has several accusations against him. Now, he is being alleged for grabbing the Buggamatham land right in the middle of Tirupati.
Not only did Peddireddy grab the Rs 100 crore worth land, he also constructed a compound wall around it. He even constructed a YCP office and a gaushala in it.

Similarly in Pungunur’s Mangalampet, he built a palatial bungalow and developed huge tracts of agricultural land in reserve forest lands. He built a gaushala there too!
Is he trying to wash off his sins by building gaushalas on grabbed lands? That apart, his followers too grabbed adjacent 3.5 acres bordering the 3 acres grabbed by Peddireddy.

Buggamatham is on the southern side of Govindarajaswamy temple. The math was built by bairagis who followed Ramananda tradition.
The bairagis coming to Tirumala-Tirupati are provided food and shelter here. The land was given by Chandragiri rulers for the math. In 1970, the math came under endowments department.

Cut to present times, the revenue and endowment officials tried to take back the grabbed land, but Peddireddy used his power to stop and threaten them said the Vigilance and Enforcement Department in its report submitted to the government.
In the report, the department requested the government to carry out a survey and take over grabbed land. They also suggested that illegal buildings be razed. Finally, they requested the government to punish the land grabbers.
