CHINESE smartphone maker Xiaomi has launched the Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ phones in the ‘A’ series in India. The new lineup is the official successor to the budget Redmi A1 series. Both phones are entry-level offering catering to users under Rs 10,000.
The phones come with a massive 5000mAh battery. Here is the price and specifications overview of the newly launched Redmi A2 and Redmi A2 Plus.
Redmi A2 Series Specifications
Redmi A2 comes with a 6.52-inch HD+ 20:9 aspect ratio display. The panel has a screen resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. Both phones have a leather-textured finish on the back. Under the hood, the smartphones pack an octa-core MediaTek Helio G36 chipset with a clock speed of up to 2.2GHz. Both handsets come with up to 4GB RAM and up to 64 GB storage that is expandable up to 1TB.
Both phones run on Android 13 clean stock experience. As for the battery, the Redmi A2, and A2 Plus come with a 5000mAh battery pack with a 10W charger included in the box package. Speaking of optics, the phone has an 8MP primary lens and a secondary lens on the back and a 5MP selfie shooter inside the notch. Features in the camera UI include HDR mode, Portrait, HDR mode, time-lapse and more.
Coming to connectivity, the Redmi A2+ comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM Radio, 3.5mm headphone jack. For security, the Redmi A2+ comes with a fingerprint reader on the back.
