NEW DELHI: Xiaomi has launched its latest Redmi Note series, the Redmi Note 12 5G series, in India with prices starting from Rs 17,999.
The base model, Redmi Note 12 5G, will be available for Rs 17,999 for the 4GB RAM+128GB storage variant, and Rs 19,999 for the 6GB RAM+128GB storage variant.
Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G will be available for Rs 24,999 for the 6GB RAM+128GB storage variant, Rs 26,999 for the 8GB RAM+128GB storage variant, and Rs 27,999 for the 8GB RAM+256GB storage variant whereas the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G will be available for Rs 29,999 for the 8GB RAM+256GB storage variant and Rs 32,999 for the 12GB RAM+256GB storage variant.
The Redmi Note 12 series will be available for purchase on Mi store, Amazon, Flipkart, Mi Home, Mi Studio, and authorized retail partners.
The Redmi Note 12 5G comes with a 6.67-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a claimed peak brightness of 12000 nits and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
It comes with a triple camera set-up at the back including a 48MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The smartphone is powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Generation 1 chip and runs on a 5000mAh battery.
Xiaomi is bundling a 33W charger in-box, while the smartphone supports dual 5G SIM, a 3.5mm jack, an IR blaster, and an IP53 rating.
In contrast, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G and the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G both come with a 6.67-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120HZ adaptive refresh rate. The phones also support 10-bit color depth along with HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and DCI-P3 color gamut.
Complementing the display features, both the Note 12 Pro models feature Dolby Atmos support, and a 3.5mm jack.
Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G comes with a 200-megapixel HPX sensor, combined with optical image stabilization (OIS). On the other hand, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G comes with the Sony IMX 766 50-megapixel main sensor, along with OIS. Both the Pro phones come with 8-megapixel ultrawide sensors as well.The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G comes with a 4980mAh battery while the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G has a 5000mAh one. Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G packs in a 67W charger while the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G comes with a 120W HyperCharge adapter.
Both the Note 12 Pro models are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor, with a peak clock speed of 2.6GHz. Furthermore, both these phones support 10 5G bands.
Anuj Sharma, Chief Marketing Officer, Xiaomi India, said the Redmi Note 12 series brings features like the highest resolution on a smartphone camera, high-end display quality, along with enhanced connectivity and fast charging speeds at an “honest price”.
