Woman Exposes VIP System in Temples

A recent viral video featuring a woman humorously criticizing the VIP system in temples has gained attention across India.

In the video, she talks about how temples, especially popular ones, have a system where people who donate large sums of money get special treatment.

For example, if someone donates a lakh (100,000) rupees, they can bathe the idols privately. With a smaller donation of just a few hundred rupees, they can enjoy a closer darshan, or view of the idols.

This creates a divide between the rich and the common devotee, who often feels ignored or pushed aside.

The woman then contrasts this with mosques, where she points out there is no VIP system.

“Masjid me koi VIP system nahi hota,” she says, meaning there is no special treatment based on wealth in mosques. Her point isn’t to criticize religion, but to highlight how temples, in particular, have turned into businesses where money can buy access and privilege, while mosques remain focused on equality for all.

Her video sheds light on how the commercialization of religion is taking away from the true spiritual purpose.

It has definitely sparked a conversation about how places of worship should be more inclusive and not divide people based on their financial status.
