Prabhas continues to be a huge box office force in South India. But when it comes to the Hindi market, the numbers tell a different story.
Despite doing several big pan-India films, he hasn’t made it into the top 10 Hindi opening day list — not even once in the last seven years.

To be fair, Prabhas has delivered massive openers at the all-India level. Films like Baahubali 2, Kalki 2898 AD, Salaar, Adipurush, and Saaho earned him five spots in the top 10 Indian openers.
But if we look only at Hindi collections, his highest is still Baahubali 2, which opened with 41 crores in 2017 — and that’s only the 12th biggest Hindi opening ever.

Since then, he’s had seven major releases, but none of them have crossed the 45-crore mark needed to break into the top 10 in Hindi. In comparison, other South stars like Allu Arjun (Pushpa 2) and Yash (KGF 2) have done it with ease.
Now, with The Raja Saab on the way, the pressure is high. For Prabhas to finally enter the top 10 Hindi openers, the film must beat Tiger 3’s 45 crore day-one figure.

If it doesn’t, that would make it eight straight misses in the Hindi belt — raising more questions about his appeal in the North.
Adding to this, his recent cameo in Kannappa didn’t help either. The film struggled to make even 5 crores in Hindi, showing how weak his pull currently is with that audience.
At this point, The Raja Saab isn’t just another film. It’s a test of Prabhas’ true pan-India star power. Once seen as a rival to Bollywood’s biggest names, he now needs a solid Hindi hit to stay in that league.
