The Proposed Banakacharla Project of Andhra Pradesh has triggered a storm in Telangana Politics.
Chandrababu Naidu is repeatedly assuring that it will not harm the interests of Telangana in any way and is only being designed to divert this excess floodwater to the drought-prone Rayalaseema region.

BRS is trying to corner Revanth Reddy using this project, saying that the CM is hand in glove with his Political Guru in this.The
Revanth Reddy Government is also gearing up to do everything to stall the Project.

Meanwhile, KCR sees this as an Opportunity for a Big Comeback.
BRS feels the only way to make a comeback in Telangana’s Political Landscape is by invoking the Sentiment.

Obviously, Chandrababu Naidu is KCR’s favorite chip.
KCR is going to talk about Banakacharla at any appropriate stage very soon and paint Chandrababu Naidu as the Villain of Humanity in Telangana.
For the first time since 2014, the Telangana sentiment did not work in the 2023 Telangana election.
Chandrababu Naidu completely stood away from Telangana politics, and so, there is no scope whatsoever for KCR.
In a meeting, KCR announced that Chandrababu Naidu would return to Telangana Politics if BRS is not voted to Power. Even then, People did not care.
But now, BRS believes that Banakacharla will come in handy for them.
There is no concrete information about the Political Mood in Telangana.
BRS Supporters are very active on Social Media but not so on the ground.
The Party is taking the mood of social media as the mood of the people and believes that they are making a comeback easily.
They also believe that the anti-incumbency against Revanth Reddy will automatically benefit them.
But then, Social Media mood does not necessarily reflect the mood of the masses, and so, an issue pertaining to Chandrababu Naidu will be helpful, BRS believes.
BRS also believes that the BJP, Janasena, and the TDP will contest together in the coming election. So, that will be even more helpful.
The question is whether the people of Telangana are naive not to see through KCR’s strategy.
