    Will He Meet the Hype?

    Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor is all set to gear up for a blockbuster-filled future, with a packed schedule of high-profile films till 2028. His lineup includes massive projects like Love and War, Ramayana, Ramayana 2, Dhoom 4, and Animal Park.

While this list sounds impressive written on a piece of paper, in reality, there are too many things that could go wrong with the films that could prove to be detrimental to Ranbir’s success.

While Ranbir Kapoor’s collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Love and War could be a visual spectacle, Ranbir’s audience might not resonate with the slow pace and the elaborate storytelling, often considered to be a characteristic of Bhansali movies. This could lead to the movie feeling lengthy and monotonous.

The upcoming Ramayana series (Parts 1 and 2) put a huge responsibility on Ranbir Kapoor’s shoulders. Movies made on religion and culture always prove to be risky as people’s faith is often on the line, and even a small mistake or poor VFX can lead to a catastrophe like Adipurush.

Dhoom 4 will bring Ranbir Kapoor straight into one of Bollywood’s most successful franchises. There will be a big challenge waiting for Ranbir as people would naturally expect him to match, if not exceed the high standards set by Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan in the previous instalments.

Lastly, there is Animal Park, the sequel to Ranbir’s highly successful but controversial film Animal, scheduled for release in 2028. While it will definitely get help from its predecessor’s massive success, it is difficult to predict its outcome yet with the ever-changing dynamics of Bollywood.
