With so much hope and expectations, Anil Sharma aims to bring back the old formula of success involving a simple plot that teaches essential family values at the end.
While Gadar was a box office success for the director, he didn’t have any decent films since then until Gadar 2. The sole reason behind Gadar 2’s success was the nostalgic factor and memories the first part created.

As he aims for another release alongside Nana Patekar and Utkarsh Sharma, it seems that this formula won’t work this time. Vanvaas has been released in the theatres and the initial response to the film has been underwhelming.
While Nana Patekar’s performance has been commendable, poor plot and dialogues make it way more dramatic than it should have been. However, to make Vanvaas a standout this weekend, Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan is set to sit down for a podcast with Nana Patekar.

The podcast would primarily talk about the film and also about the core memories both the renowned actors have with each other. Will this marketing strategy work? Well, Aamir himself has been giving several flops and people don’t want to invest their time in any of his products.
Though Vanvaas had its good points, the film is far away from being a hit and is struggling to earn 1 crore on its first day. Even Aamir’s promotion might not be able to save this potentially disastrous film at the box office.
