YSR Congress Rajya Sabha MP Vijaysai Reddy met Union Home Minister Amit Shah the other day.
Sai Reddy posted a photograph of the meeting and wrote, “Met Hon’ble Home Minister Shri @AmitShah Ji today. It was a courtesy call”.

This appointment comes a few days after Jagan’s name (as CM of Andhra Pradesh in 2021) figured in US Department of Justice Indictment Statement about Adani’s Bribery.

The document clearly mentions that the Adani Group paid ₹1,750 crore in bribes to “Foreign Official #1,” an Indian citizen who served as a high-ranking government official in Andhra Pradesh between May 2019 and June 2024.
The indictment also that Adani “personally interacted” with “Foreign Official #1” in Andhra Pradesh on several occasions in 2021 to finalize agreements.

If not for Jagan, this “Foreign Official #1” is someone in Jagan’s Government who was acting on Jagan’s behalf.
Jagan called for a Pressmeet on this issue and repeatedly tried to push the blame on the Central Government headed by the BJP on this issue.
So, the timing of this meeting has become doubtful.
Did Jagan seek the Central Government in coming out of this mess? What did he promise in return?
Everyone is aware that the Adani is so close to the BJP High Command. Is the Central Government trying to save Adani and also Jagan in this Bribery case?
This appointment also happened days after Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s Delhi Tour.
To ensure there are no doubts about this meeting, YSRCP MPs out of the blue also met Steel Minister and gave a representation to save the Vishakapatnam Steel Plant.
