Social media is usually a cruel and shrewd place for celebrities. The same can be understood if we look at the case of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
Both Virat and Rohit are under immense pressure on social media due to their horrendous performances in recent series.

After the century on a batting friendly track in the first test, Virat Kohli failed badly in the three subsequent innings’. As for Rohit Sharma who wasn’t a part of the first game came back for the second game only to fail big time.
In the third game today, Kohli fell cheaply for a delivery that was well outside the off stump. He brought back the demons of the past with this horrendous innings.

Rohit is new to the crease and he’s on 0 runs. If he too fails then things could really ugly for the Indian side which is already struggling at 51-4.
This has now led to theories on social media where netizens are pushing both Rohit and Kohli to retire at the earliest as they’re putting their country to the shame with their horrifying performances.

The issue here is that Rohit and Kohli who are the seniors in the side have been failing big time in recent series’. This has led to social media commentary that they’re eating up the chances that should otherwise go to youngsters.
Both Rohit and Kohli are at the fag end of their careers and there isn’t much promise in terms of potentiality. So even if these two stars retire, it could only work positively for the team as it would give chances to worthy youngsters.
