The retention period for the forthcoming season of IPL is done and dusted. The stage is now set for the forthcoming mega action ahead of the hyped IPL 2025 season which has a lot riding on it.
As the auction is scheduled to be held in December, there is an interesting discussion going on about the player who is going to fetch the highest price.

In this connection, we are hearing that multiple teams are lining up the option of buying Rishab Pant after he quit Delhi and is ready to join a new side.
Apparently, CSK is looking to go all out for Pant this time around as they are in serious need of a wicket keeper batsman, with Dhoni struggling due to age factors.

In any case, Pant could well go down as the costliest player of the league this year and he could be fetching in the vicinity of Rs 25 crores, it seems.
