What to watch on OTT: Oscar-winner A Real Pain & Netflix film Test featuring R Madhavan, Nayanthara and Siddharth, here’s a list of things you can watch on OTT.

A Real Pain, written and directed by Jesse Eisenberg, is one of the most talked about films of last year. The movie is about mismatched cousins David (Eisenberg) and Benji (Kieran Culkin) reuniting for a tour through Poland to honour their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a turn when the odd-couple’s old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history. Its cast also features Will Sharpe, Jennifer Grey, Kurt Egyiawan, Liza Sadovy and Daniel Oreskes.
Culkin, popular for his role in the drama series Succession, won Best Supporting Actor at the Academy Awards while Eisenberg won the BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay.

Directed by S Sashikanth, Test follows the story of three lives getting intertwined over a cricket match. Saravanan (R. Madhavan) and Kumudha (Nayanthara) navigate the complexities of marriage while pursuing their own dreams. Arjun (Siddharth) wrestles with the fine line between professional and personal choices, alongside his wife Padma (Meera Jasmine), who fiercely protects their personal space. “As their characters stand at the crossroads of passion, perseverance, and consequence, one decision will define whether they emerge as champions or succumb to the weight of their own choices,” says the official synopsis.

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage

The series, a spin-off of Young Sheldon, follows Georgie (Montana Jordan) and Mandy (Emily Osment) as they raise their young family in Texas while navigating complexities of parenthood. Georgie Cooper, the older brother of Big Bang Theory main character Sheldon Cooper, works at an auto service store owned by his father-in-law. Mandy McAllister, Georgie’s wife who is 12 years older than him, and the mother of their daughter Constance, nicknamed CeeCee.
Devil May Cry

Devil May Cry is based on the popular action-adventure game of the same name. The game follows the hunter Dante, who makes it his life’s mission to avenge his mother’s death by killing all demons. When a mysterious villain threatens to open the gates of Hell, a devilishly handsome demon hunter could be the world’s best hope for salvation. Sinister forces are at play at the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon hunter for hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.
Bug Diner

Filmmaker Phoebe Jane Hart’s debut work Bug Diner is “an explosive exploration of tension, lust and fantasy via anthropomorphic praying mantids, squirrels and anteaters”, called MUBI.
It is the winner of the Short Film Jury Award: Animation at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. The intricate seven-minute short was written, directed, fabricated, voice-acted and animated entirely by Hart, who shot eight seconds a day for 60 days straight. “The film opens in a diner in the desert, where a mole with a hot ass and a fly waitress serve insect and animal patrons who are all going through relationship issues—be it an unhappy marriage, a secret crush, or a workplace fantasy. During the day’s lunch service, everyone’s secrets and desires will come to a head,” reads its synopsis.
The Dinner Table Detective S1

Set in Kunitachi in Tokyo, the series follows Reiko Hosho, daughter of the owner of the world-famous Hosho Group. She becomes a rookie detective for the local police force, with her boss being Inspector Kazamatsuri, the son of the owner of Kazamatsuri Motors. The two work together to solve difficult cases, and often consult Reiko’s butler and driver Kageyama during these cases. Based on the novels by Tokuya Higashikawa, the Japanese anime is directed by Mitsuyuki Masuhara and features Yûki Kaji, Mamoru Miyano and Kana Hanazawa. The series streams on Prime Video, with dubs in English, starting April 5.
