An explosive division, junior-welterweight has some young contenders waiting to become champion. Two of the very best within the division will clash for the vacant WBC junior-welterweight title on November 26.

When Regis Prograis faces Jose Zepeda, the former champion in Prograis believes the fight inside Carson, California’s Dignity Health Sports Park will be unlike anything boxing fans have ever seen.

“It’s killer vs. killer in this fight,” Prograis told Boxing Scene. “You got two killers in the ring, two southpaws, and we both got big knockout power.”

Prograis has 23 wins via knockout in 28 pro fights. He has won three straight via TKO and four of his last five via the power punch. The former WBA junior-welterweight champion lost the title against Josh Taylor in 2019. On a three-fight win streak, Prograis faces someone in Zepeda with 27 knockout wins in 39 fights. His last fight was a TKO win over Josue Vargas.
