Pushpa 2 is doing phenomenal business at the box office. While the film has considerably slowed down in Telugu states and other areas, it is a one-horse race in Hindi, maintaining unbelievable momentum.
The film is set to collect around 1000 crores worldwide gross in just 8 days, making it the fastest Indian film ever to reach this milestone.

Pushpa 2’s storm at the Hindi box office is so powerful that films are now hesitating to release, even 2-3 weeks after Pushpa 2.
The trade expects the film’s phenomenal run to continue for at least 4-5 weeks, potentially washing away any other releases. The makers of Varun Dhawan’s Baby John scheduled to release on December 25 are worried as hell.

Until a few weeks ago, Ram Charan’s Game Changer, directed by Shankar, was supposed to be released on December 20, two weeks after Pushpa 2. However, due to unknown circumstances, the film was postponed to January 10.
Some believed that December 20 would have been a good date for Game Changer, as it could have benefited from the Christmas and New Year holidays. Many felt Game Changer lost out on this favorable window.

However, after seeing the monstrous success of Pushpa 2, it’s clear that Dil Raju made a super smart decision by postponing Game Changer to Sankranti.
Pushpa 2 would have easily overshadowed Game Changer’s box office collections. In Telugu states, the impact might have been a bit less, but in the Hindi markets, Pushpa 2 would have devoured Game Changer without breaking a sweat.
Game Changer’s potential in the Hindi market is around 75-100 crores with great word of mouth like Shankar’s past films Aparichitudu or Oke Okkadu.
If it had been released two weeks after Pushpa 2, it would have struggled to even cross the 30-40 crore mark. But now Game Changer has a chance to become a decent success with good word of mouth.
