The weather forecast has predicted heavy rains for next week which could lead to washout games.
Asia Cup 2023: The 2023 edition of the Asia Cup has failed to raise the temperature. Even the IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023 Group Stage game went flat due to consistent rain. However, it could turn worse as more rain is predicted in coming days in Sri Lanka which could impact the Super 4 qualification.
Notably, Five of the six games of the Super 4 stage will will be played in Colombo. The weather forecast has predicted heavy rains for next week which could lead to washout games.
Which team will reach final in case of complete washout?
The remaining five super four stage matches and
the final of the tournament will take place at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo from September 9.
According to forecast, there is a 80% chance of rain on most days from September 9.
If all five games in Colombo get washed out then Pakistan will qualify for the final as they will be the only team with a win.

On the other hand, Bangladesh will have only two points on the table as they have already lost one.
This will mean both India and Sri Lanka will be equal on points and also on net run rate. In that case, a coin toss between the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka will decide the second finalist who will play against Pakistan on Sep 17.
