The film Pushpa 2 has to depend on Allu Arjun’s performance as its main attraction. Though the movie broke all the box office records, it received mixed reviews because of its poor storytelling and excessive action scenes.
With action scenes occupying the majority of the screen, this movie basically relies on the star power of Allu Arjun. The sequel comes off as a mere continuation without much character or subject growth, and critics note that the plot is pretty shallow.

There is hope that the Bollywood industry will learn how to strike a balance between a powerful plot and star power when it comes to the future sequels, as War 2, Pathaan 2, and Kick 2 are all in the making.
Pushpa 2 is a reflection of the need for equal attention towards star value and strong narratives in Bollywood. Going by South Indian cinema and their strategy of sequels for upcoming movies like War 2 and Pathaan 2, Bollywood still has a chance to get better.
