According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rainfall activity is likely over Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra on September 9 and 10 and over northeast India during the next three days and decrease thereafter.
New Delhi: Several parts of western India have witnessed heavy rainfall over the past two to three days. According to the India Meteorological Department ( IMD ), heavy rainfall activity is likely over Madhya Pradesh , Uttar Pradesh , Gujarat and Maharashtra on September 9 and 10 and over northeast India during the next three days and decrease thereafter.
Meanwhile, increase in rainfall activity over Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana from September 12 due to the development of a fresh cyclonic circulation over the northwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal. “A fresh cyclonic circulation likely to form over northwest & adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal around 12th September, 2023,” the IMD stated.
