His mum missed out on becoming Queen of the I’m a Celebrity jungle on Sunday but Kai Rooney has shown that dad Wayne is still best in class when it comes to the greats of English football.

Wayne Rooney is coming under increasing pressure as manager of Plymouth Argyle with fans questioning his credentials to coach the side stuck in the Championship relegation zone.

But in an Instagram video that has been watched more than 750,000 times, 15-year-old Kai sent a reminder of everything his dad has won at the highest level.

Rooney Jr filmed inside the family’s £20million Cheshire mansion, High Lake Manor, where, among rooms including a snooker room, a home cinema, a wine cellar and a football pitch, there is a room dedicated to the great Manchester United and England striker’s career.

In the middle is an octagonal display case holding a number of Rooney’s 120 England caps. On top of the display is a mini replica of Old Trafford.

The room features four LED-illuminated glass display cabinets with those on the left showing off Rooney’s man of the match and player of the month awards from the Premier League, his PFA Players’ Player of the Year trophy, prize bottles of champagne and top scorer awards.

The trophy awarded to him by the late Sir Bobby Charlton in 2017 for becoming United’s all-time leading goalscorer, and the first person in the club’s history to score 250 goals, takes pride of place in one display.

Rooney also displays replicas of his five Premier League titles, the FA Cup he won in 2016, his three League Cups, the Champions League and the Europa League, along with individual prizes such as the 2004 Golden Boy award.

As well as commemorating nine match balls in the cabinet by the back wall, having scored seven Premier League hat-tricks alone, he gives top billing to his shirt from the 2008 Champions League final win over Chelsea. He has had it signed by his team-mates from that triumph in Moscow.

Rooney racked up more than 60 honours in his career, meaning there are pieces of memorabilia that don’t even fit into his display cabinets, including shirts immortalised from iconic games.
