Watch: Dravid, Mushfiqur’s animated chat before 2nd IND vs BAN Test goes viral | Cricket

Mushfiqur Rahim hasn’t had the best of times against India. A lot was expected from the experienced campaigner but he has managed scores of only 18, 12, 7, 28, and 23 in the three ODIs and one Test against India so far. Mushfiqur will have one final opportunity to make amends in the second Test against India starting Thursday in Mirpur. Perhaps that’s why he is extra eager and ready to take all the help he can. Even from the opposition camp. Mushfiqur was seen having a lengthy chat with former India captain and current head coach Rahul Dravid during the practice session in Mirpur on Tuesday.

Quite expectedly Dravid was seen doing the most of talking during the conversation. With multiple hand gestures, the India head coach tried to explain to Mushfiqur how to tackle the spinners. At the end of their lengthy chat, the Bangladesh right-hander was seen hugging Dravid to express his gratitude.

India are leading the two-match series 1-0. They won the first Test quite comfortably by 188 runs despite a spirited batting effort from Bangladesh in the second innings. The visitors would be looking to keep the good work going and win the final match of the tour. India need to keep winning to stay in the race to qualify for the World Test Championship final.

They will be without their captain Rohit Sharma once again. The opener has failed to recover from the thumb injury he suffered during the second ODI and has been ruled out of the second Test too. KL Rahul will step in again to lead the Indian side.

“The medical team is of the opinion that the injury needs some more time to heal completely before the Indian captain can bat and field with full intensity,” the BCCI said in a statement.

“He will continue his rehab and will not be available for the second and final test against Bangladesh.

“Navdeep Saini is also ruled out of the second test owing to an abdominal muscle strain.”
