Saraswati Puja is a sacred festival dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the deity of wisdom, knowledge, and arts. In the viral video, a woman, who is presumably a hired performer, which can be seen dressed in revealing attire, executing suggestive dance moves on stage.
The presence of the deity’s image in the background has further fueled criticism.
While many have condemned the act as an insult to Hindu traditions, the real issue seems to be the lack of immediate pushback from the audience.

Instead of expressing disapproval, the crowd is seen clapping and cheering, making it unclear whether they saw anything inappropriate. This raises the question: is the outrage directed at the right place?
