Von Miller suspended for four games after violating NFL’s ‘personal conduct policy’

Buffalo Bills star Von Miller was handed a four-game suspension by the NFL on Tuesday afternoon.

The linebacker has been suspended without pay for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

Miller will eligible for reinstatement on October 28 following the Bills’ Week 8 game against the Seattle Seahawks

He could make his return to the field for the Bills’ Week 9 matchup against the Miami Dolphins in Buffalo.

It is currently unclear how Miller violated the policy. However, the ban comes almost a year after authorities issued an arrest warrant for Miller for allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman, who was later identified as his girlfriend.

Miller turned himself into police in suburban Dallas on November 30, 2023. He indicated something happened between him and his girlfriend, but stressed it did not approach what he is alleged of doing.

According to a police affidavit which officers wrote, Miller twice put his hands on the neck of the woman, pulled out a chunk of her hair and threw her onto a couch. The woman was treated for minor injuries, including bruising on her neck, police said.

The woman later recanted her story and the case was dropped.

He adamantly denied the accusations of domestic violence at the time, telling the media: ‘All of it is incorrect. All of it is untrue.

‘Never in any of my relationships that I’ve been in, never in my current relationship with my girlfriend, did any of those things happen.

‘It is 100 per cent false. It’s overblown.’

The league also announced Tuesday that Cleveland Browns rookie Mike Hall Jr. has been suspended for five games also for a violation of the policy.

Hall Jr. had been on the Commissioner Exempt List since the beginning of the regular season and had not been eligible to play in the Browns’ opening four games.

The defensive tackle pleaded no contest to a charge stemming from a domestic violence altercation over the summer.

Hall Jr. is accused of shoving the mother of his baby boy, hitting her with a bottle, putting her head through a bedroom wall, and holding a handgun to her temple.

According to the police report obtained by DailyMail.com, Hall left the scene before officers arrived at his suburban home. However, the victim’s mother told officers that Hall had attacked her daughter.

Hall reportedly ‘left the residence in a Dodge TRX and was likely headed to the Residence Inn in Middleburg Heights,’ according to the report.
