India continues to prove its global dominance with the Indian workforce showing their talent and skills abroad. The US, which is our favorite destination, has seen the proof as over 2 million Indians visited the country in 2024.
This is a massive 26% surge from last year, highlighting growing ties between the countries. This year, the US issued over a million non-immigrant visas, including record visitor visas in 11 months.

America, in a joint effort with Indian authorities, will now look to further increase this number as they are considering new policies to make the visas more accessible. This is good news not just for Indians but the US also gets a major boost to its economy due to the migrating population.
But it is a double-edged sword, as this rise in demand for settling abroad should be a concern for the Indian government. It must be questioned why are we not able to retain our best-talented workers and students in the country.

These developments are promising for the US-India relations but reveal a deeper problem in the Indian ecosystem as well.
