This was the reason his fans were left disappointed when he announced his retirement in 2019. And now his fellow teammate has revealed a shocking reason behind his big decision.

During an interview, Robin Uthappa said when Virat Kohli took the reins of Team India it made things tough for Yuvraj. Kohli’s strict approach left little room for players struggling with challenges.
Uthappa claims Yuvraj was asked to maintain the same fitness level as others despite beating cancer, which tremendously affected his health. Even when he asked for just “two points of relaxation” in the fitness test, Kohli refused which made his selection to the team and a dream comeback impossible.

This incident has put the former Indian captain under fire as Uthappa criticized him for not showing empathy to a player who gave everything for India. The former Indian wicketkeeper believed that Yuvraj deserved special treatment for his contributions.
