Bengaluru Police have managed to debunk a viral video in which a man was accused of installing a camera inside a geyser to secretly record inappropriate videos of a woman. Investigations revealed that the claims were fabricated to cover up a consensual affair between the two individuals.
The incident initially sparked public outrage after the woman accused the man of blackmail. The situation escalated when the gathered crowd intervened, thrashing the accused and encouraging the woman to assault him with her slippers. Police, alerted to the scene, separated the individuals and began an investigation.

Officers grew skeptical about the claim, key point being the feasibility of a camera functioning inside a geyser due to high temperatures.
As expected, during a private interrogation, the woman confessed to having an affair with the man and admitted to voluntarily sharing intimate photos with him. She falsely accused him of blackmail when their relationship was exposed, allegedly to protect herself.

Neither party filed formal complaints. The man, despite being assaulted by the mob, chose not to press charges, and the woman declined to pursue legal action. All parties were released from the police station by midnight.
Bengaluru Police have urged the public to refrain from taking matters into their own hands and to rely on proper legal procedures for resolving disputes.
