Chiyaan Vikram has acted in more than ten films over the past decade. However, most of them failed at the box office, with only one or two managing to perform decently.
Fans themselves admit that Vikram’s movies have not performed as expected. He has been in the industry for nearly 35 years, and while he faced struggles in the beginning, he delivered some outstanding films from 2000 to 2015.

Vikram gained immense popularity not only in Tamil cinema but also in Telugu and Hindi. At one point, he was considered the biggest Kollywood star in Tollywood, after Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.
However, things have changed now. His films are struggling even in Tamil Nadu, and in the Telugu states, there is almost no discussion about his movies. Despite this, his films continue to be dubbed and released in Telugu.

This week, his new film Veera Dheera Soora 2 is set to release, but there is hardly any buzz around it. Even advance bookings are extremely poor, which is shocking for a senior star like Vikram. Even mid-range or small heroes get better advance bookings than Veera Dheera Soora.
In Tamil Nadu, the response is very dull, but in the Telugu states, people don’t even know such a film exists. The situation is similar in Kerala and Karnataka.

With no hype or demand, releasing it on a pan-India scale seems pointless. Many believe Vikram needs to rethink his film choices and release strategies.
Fans also feel that Vikram should be more selective about his roles. Some even suggest that he transition into strong character roles instead of lead roles. He could also try big multi-starrers. It’s time for him to revamp his whole approach to being an actor.
