Vikram’s Thangalaan was directed by Sapratta Parambarai and Kaala famed by Pa Ranjith. This movie has a stellar cast, which includes Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathy, and many others. The musical album of this movie was composed by GV Prakash Kumar, and this movie was produced by Studio Green Productions.
Thangalaan was released today with sky-high expectations, as Pa Ranjith’s last film, Sarpatta Parambarai, was a blockbuster success, and with Chiyaan Vikram, this movie has huge expectations among the audiences. The first half of the movie was well written and directed, but the second half of the movie has poor writing, and there were also many lags in the second half of the movie. The movie was set in a slow-paced manner, which causes a major drawback in the second half of the movie. On the other hand, Chiyaan Vikram gives his soul to the movie and lives as a Thangalaan; Malavika Mohanan shines; and GV Prakash Kumar is the savior of this movie; his BGMS was one of the major pillars of the movie.

Thangalaan was a different attempt; the making of this movie was of an international standard. Tamil cinema’s second-half curse haunts this movie too. And also many theatres were reporting that audio clarity was very poor in some places in the movie. Even though the second half dips for the different attempts and with the technically brilliant making, Thangalaan was a decent watch in theatres.
