Vijaysai Reddy’s Political Retirement Announcement has created ripples in Andhra Pradesh Politics.
Sai Reddy is Jagan’s Atma in Politics and Accused Number Two in all his disproportionate assets cases. His retirement will hit the morale of the cadres really hard and send a signal that he sees no future in the YSR Congress.

There are speculations on Social Media if Jagan is behind this resignation to please the BJP. They say this is akin to Chandrababu sending Sujana Chowdary and CM Ramesh to the BJP immediately after the 2019 defeat.
But then, this looks different.

Sai Reddy did not join the BJP. He is resigning as an MP and is quitting politics.
His tenure is up to 2028. That means a good three years term is left and the vacancy will go to the TDP.

Chandrababu just left a seat to the BJP. In case, he wishes to give this seat to allies. It will go to Janasena.
So there is no logic behind Sai Reddy not joining the BJP in case Jagan sent him like Chandrababu.
We all know how Rajya Sabha numbers are extremely important for the BJP in the passage of several crucial bills.
If we assume, the BJP does not want him as he is a tainted leader. The party had admitted several such leaders in many states.
If they did not admit him fearing Chandrababu would withdraw his support to NDA, they would not do the charity of gifting the seat to TDP or Janasena.
Sujana and CM Ramesh leaving TDP and Sai Reddy leaving YSR Congress is totally different. TDP cadres always saw them as Businessmen and their leaving the party did not impact the party’s morale. But Sai Reddy’s resignation is entirely different.
This will have a very strong impact on the morale of YSR Congress cadres. It will crush their confidence in any comeback.
“If Sai Reddy himself gave up, it means there is no future for YSR Congress” – this message will resonate in the corridors of YSR Congress office.
