    Vijay Deverakonda or Pawan Kalyan?

    Vijay Deverakonda Pawan Kalyan

Pawan Kalyan’s OG is one of the most highly anticipated films in Telugu cinema recently, with expectations riding high on this action-packed venture directed by Sujeeth.

The producers have now confirmed that the film will be released on March 27 of next year.

Recent reports suggest that the team is confident about completing the remaining shooting and ensuring that the film will indeed be on screens by March 27, 2025.

Meanwhile, the makers of Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming project, tentatively titled VD 12, have already announced a release date of March 28, just a day after OG.

OG is particularly significant for Pawan Kalyan as it will be his first theatrical release following his landslide victory in the 2024 Assembly elections, where he became Deputy Chief Minister.

The excitement surrounding the film is unparalleled given its lead actor’s recent political success.

On the other hand, VD 12, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, is seen as a major project for Vijay Deverakonda, especially after the underperformance of his recent films like Liger, Kushi, and Family Star.

This film is anticipated to mark a significant comeback for Vijay in terms of both acting and stardom.

However, the simultaneous release of these two highly anticipated films poses a challenge, as each will likely dent the box office performance of the other. The clash between these two films could be detrimental to both films and also to the industry.

It would be wise for one of the films to consider adjusting its release date. It remains to be seen who will step back: Pawan Kalyan or Vijay Deverakonda?
