But the project comes with its challenges. Post Chhaava, Vicky Kaushal needs to do films with bigger box office potential.
While he excels in emotional roles, biopics — especially on niche or “elitist” subjects like Guru Dutt — don’t draw mass audiences anymore. Recent big budget biopics like 83, Swatantra Veer Savarkar and the upcoming Chandu Champion have failed commercially despite critical acclaim.
