Since Chandrababu Naidu took over the state, he has been doing everything to appear grounded and is insisting that his leaders strictly follow the same approach.
While the top brass, including Lokesh is following this, today’s incident involving Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy getting upset for not receiving the bouquet and walking away from the Nellore District Development Review Committee (DRC) meeting should not be taken lightly as a fit of anger or just a protocol lapse.

TDP leadership should take note that Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, for that matter any big or small YSRCP leader, felt suffocated under YS Jagan Mohan Reddy because they were not getting the ‘respect.’
Now, if they find the same ‘respect’ issues, it does not bode well for the TDP.

At the end of the day, any political leader with his background first looks for respect from the party leadership and from the political or administrative meetings they attend.
Both Chandrababu and Lokesh should take these incidents seriously. They may seem small but can create a culture over time.
