The Tamil movie Perusu, starring Vaibhav and Niharika NM in the lead roles and directed by debutant Ilango Ramanathan, was released in theaters on March 14th and received positive responses from the audience.
Despite the positive reviews, Perusu ended its theatrical run with an average status. Now, the movie has started streaming on the Netflix OTT platform as of yesterday in four languages: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Perusu is an adult comedy entertainer, and the plot revolves around an old man dying with an erection; the rest of the story follows how his sons and family perform his last rites. This movie is a remake of the Sinhalese movie Tentigo, released in 2023.
Many people, after watching the movie, have commented that it is a fun ride and highly entertaining. Despite having an unusual plot, Perusu stays true to its adult comedy genre, and critics say the movie promises a laugh riot.

Even though Perusu is a Tamil-language movie without a stellar cast, many Telugu audiences have been sharing positive responses about the movie on social media after watching it on Netflix OTT.
Many OTT audiences were unaware of the release of this movie, and now, slowly, word of mouth from the audience is picking up on social media, and Perusu is attracting many viewers.
