Vaazhai and Kottukkaali, the two most expected rooted films of Kollywood, have released today. Both the movies get positive responses from critics and audiences, but Vaazhai has won the hearts of many audiences more than the Kottukkaali movie.

Vaazhai was directed by Karnan and Pariyerum Perumal, famed Maari Selvaraj, and Kottukkaali was directed by PS Vinothraj, who is well known for his previous movie Koozhangal. Both movies were more rooted and intense in their own way. Tamil cinema audiences are in a proud moment for these movies, as both the movies were perfect art cinema with strong contents, and even many audiences were mentioning in social media that it’s the Barbenheimer clash of Kollywood.
Kottukkaali was previously screened at the 74th Berlin Film Festival and got many appreciations. Many audiences and cinema lovers awaited the release of this movie, but Vaazhai came out as a surprise package and won more hearts than Kottukkaali. Every Tamil movie lover and celebrity were praising this movie a lot. After the celebrity show, director Bala, who is well known for his movies such as Pithamagan and Paradesi, was flooded with tears and gave a kiss to Maari Selvaraj.
